Book Review: Tiger Lily

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Remember that Indian girl in Peter Pan? That girl who barely talks? Before Wendy, Tiger Lily and Peter Pan were the definition of love.

Tiger Lily was the most different person among the tribe, the Sky Eaters. With her hair messy and crow feathers stuck to her hair, you wouldn’t think that someone would fall for her. Peter Pan belonged to Tiger Lily before Wendy existed. They fell for each other, despite Tiger Lily’s engagement. After one secret was out, Pan immediately hated her. Pan had a future that Tiger Lily couldn’t compete with, so she let go. In the end, Tiger Lily and her best friend, Pine Sap, married each other, and lived happily ever after in Neverland.

I really recommend this book to everyone. It was simply beautiful, but very heart breaking.

To love someone was not what she had expected. It was like falling from somewhere high up and breaking in half, and the only one person having a secret to the puzzle of putting her back together. -Jodi Lynn Anderson
